Course surveys and feedback, inside your LMS
Build course evaluations and feedback forms once, then use them inside lessons, at course completion or as a standalone link. Every answer lands in the same LMS as your learners, courses and completions.
Choice, free text, star or number ratings, Likert grids and Net Promoter Score, plus information slides between questions.
- End-of-course feedback on every course by default
- Survey block for any lesson
- Results by question with CSV export
What is an LMS with built-in surveys?
Continuum Learn is an LMS with built-in surveys: you create course evaluations and feedback forms under Create > Surveys, then place them inside a lesson, show them automatically when a learner completes a course, or share them as a standalone link, with no SurveyMonkey, Typeform or Zapier in between. Questions can be multiple choice, free text, 5 or 10-point ratings, Likert agreement grids or Net Promoter Score, and results are charted per question and downloadable as CSV.
When feedback is collected in a separate survey tool, you end up matching spreadsheet rows to learners by email and guessing which course a response was about. Continuum keeps the survey inside the learning platform, so every response is already linked to the learner, the course and where it was answered: in a lesson, at completion, or from a standalone link. Course reports in Manage > Reporting show survey results next to quiz results for the same course.
Every course asks for feedback out of the box. Unless you change it, learners who finish a course are prompted for a 1 to 5 star rating and an optional comment. Switch a course to a specific survey for a fuller evaluation (relevance, organisation, confidence to apply, likelihood to recommend), or turn the prompt off. That covers reaction-level (Kirkpatrick Level 1) evaluation for every course you run, and pairs naturally with programme certificates and the course discussion board for a complete picture of how learners experience your training.
Built and hosted in the UK for training providers, membership organisations and L&D teams

Five question types, one editor
Build a post-course evaluation in the survey editor, choosing from choice, text, rating, Likert and NPS questions.
One question at a time
Learners answer one question at a time, here a five-point Likert grid with three statements.
NPS scored for you
Net Promoter Score questions use the standard 0 to 10 scale, and Continuum calculates the score for you.
Feedback on every course by default
Every course asks for a star rating and comment on completion by default, or you can swap in a full survey.
Results in the course report
Results are charted per question, with an NPS breakdown, Likert averages, written answers and a CSV download. Sample data shown.
Course feedback without the extra tool
Write a survey once, reuse it across courses, and read the results where your learning data already lives.
Five Question Types
Single or multiple choice, free text up to 4,000 characters, star or number ratings on a 5 or 10-point scale, Likert grids with 3, 5 or 7 labels, and 0 to 10 NPS.
One Survey, Three Placements
Drop the Survey block into any lesson, set a survey as the course completion prompt, or send the standalone learner link. Responses record where they came from.
Results Charted Per Question
Averages and distributions for ratings, a calculated NPS with promoters, passives and detractors, Likert averages per statement, and every written answer.
CSV Export
Download every response with submission date, learner name and email, source and course, one column per question and one per Likert statement.
How teams use surveys in Continuum
End-of-Course Evaluations
Prompt learners the moment they finish with a short evaluation, so you capture reactions while the course is fresh and compare results across courses that share the same survey.
In-Lesson Feedback and Pulse Checks
Place a Survey block mid-course to ask how a module landed or what learners want next. Submitting it counts towards lesson completion like any other block.
Training Needs and Member Surveys
Share a standalone survey link with signed-in learners to gather training needs, event feedback or member opinions without tying it to a single course.
Everything in the survey toolkit
Built into the course builder, the learner experience and reporting, so there is nothing to integrate
Visual Survey Editor
Add, reorder and preview questions under Create > Surveys. Mark any question as required or optional and add information slides between questions.
Ratings, Likert and NPS
Rating questions use stars or numbers with optional end labels. Likert grids ask several statements at once, and NPS uses the standard 0 to 10 scale.
Course Completion Prompt
Choose Basic rating, Specific survey or Off for each course. The prompt opens when the learner completes the final lesson, and there is also a Give feedback button on the course page.
Survey Block for Lessons
Insert a saved survey into any lesson with the Survey block. The same survey can appear in many lessons and courses.
Resubmission and Thank-You Messages
Allow or block resubmission, set the start button text, and write your own thank-you title and message.
Survey and Course Reporting
Filter a survey's results by source or course, or open a course report to see every survey answered in it alongside the basic star ratings and comments.
Presenter Access to Results
Linked presenters can see survey results for the courses they teach from their presenter area, and their own preview answers are never saved.
Learner Interface in Nine Languages
Buttons, progress and validation messages in the survey runner follow the learner's language across the nine learner languages Continuum supports. See our multilingual LMS.
Frequently asked questions
What's an LMS with integrated surveys?
It is a learning management system that lets you build and run surveys inside the platform instead of linking out to a separate form tool. Continuum Learn has surveys built in: you create them under Create > Surveys, use them inside lessons, at course completion or as a standalone link, and read the results in the same place as your course reports.
Can I add an end-of-course survey to every course automatically?
Yes. Every Continuum course asks for a 1 to 5 star rating and an optional comment when a learner completes it, unless you change the setting. For each course you can choose Basic rating, Specific survey (to show one of your own surveys instead) or Off.
Which question types can I use in an LMS course evaluation?
Continuum supports single and multiple choice, free text, ratings with stars or numbers on a 5 or 10-point scale, Likert grids with 3, 5 or 7 labels across several statements, and Net Promoter Score from 0 to 10. You can also add information slides and mark each question as required or optional.
Can I use an LMS for Kirkpatrick Level 1 training evaluation?
Yes. Kirkpatrick Level 1 measures learners' reaction to training: satisfaction, relevance and engagement. In Continuum you can set a post-course evaluation with rating, Likert and NPS questions as the completion survey for each course, then compare averages and distributions in the results report or export them as CSV.
Do I need SurveyMonkey or Typeform to collect course feedback?
Not with Continuum Learn. Surveys are a native feature, so responses are already linked to the learner and the course they answered in, with no hidden fields, Zapier steps or spreadsheet matching.
Can I export survey results from the LMS?
Yes. Each survey's results page has a CSV download with one row per response: submission date, learner name and email, where it was answered, the course, and one column per question (one per statement for Likert questions). Course reports offer the same export for each survey answered in that course.
Are survey responses anonymous?
No. Surveys in Continuum are completed by signed-in learners, and responses are linked to the learner so you can follow up and see which course they relate to. If you need anonymous feedback, Continuum surveys are not the right tool for that today.
Do surveys work in SCORM exports?
No. Surveys run in the online Continuum course only. In a SCORM package or embedded course, a Survey block shows a short note that the survey is available in the online version, and it does not block progress.
